Beauty Backstage – Super fun shopping event! Shared some through a giveaway!
Last week I was invited to Beauty Backstage, one of the best events I’ve attended so far! Imagine beauty enthusiasts, all in one roof, shopping our heart out while exploring amazing products and brands from different parts of the world (Italy, Germany, Turkey, UK, USA) distributed here by Bhagi’s International Trading Corporation.
Each of us was handed a “booklet” (yaasss!) of vouchers, where each can be used in exchange of any available product that we want from a particular brand. Featured brands were Catrice Cosmetics, Deborah Milano, Essence Cosmetics, Flormar, Jordana, Il Salone, Joe of London, and Entity.
I’m so excited to walk you through the brands mentioned above, the products I took home, and why I got them.
Catrice Cosmetics – Made in Germany
I love brands who don’t support animal testing. They make sure their products (from ingredients to manufacturing, to end products) are certified not tested on animals. Then twice a year, 25% of Catrice Range is updated so you always have something new to try.
Catrice Sunglow Matt Bronzing Powder P499.00
I love to contour guys! For me, contour is life 😀 In a blush-highlight-contour palette, I always hit pan of the contouring powder first..
Catrice Contouring Brush P429.00
Been wanting to get this kind of brush, so when I saw it in the shelf, I immediately put it in my shopping bag! I hope I can make it work just how I see it in tutorials though.
Catrice All Round Concealer Palette P379.00
I have a color-correcting wheel in my makeup artist kit that I use for my clients but not in my personal makeup kit so I decide to get one. I like that it’s already complete in one sleek palette like this plus it’s affordable! I’ll let you know if this one works hiding my skin imperfections.
Deborah Milano – Made in Italy
Who would have thought this is a drugstore makeup brand right? I’ve been hearing about their products and all the while I thought they belong to the high-end ones. Deborah Milano is known for their quality makeups and effective skincare products.
Deborah Milano Comfort Mat Foundation (Fair) P749.00
When I visited their booth, they are already running out of other foundation shades and this is the one closest to my skintone. I have combination to oily skin so I’m excited to use this. It has SPF 15 so I find it nice to use for everyday makeup.
Absolute Lasting Liquid Lipstick P649.00
I can’t find the name of the shade but I’ll update you guys once I figured it out. Product claims to last for hours and doesn’t transfer! OMG! I’ll test it out tomorrow and update you guys in my social pages and here on the blog with a review.
Essence Cosmetics – Made in Germany
Essence cosmetics has been around for quite sometime now so I’m a little familiar with the brand. I’ve only tried their nail polish and I liked it so I’m excited to try their products that are being raved by my fellow bloggers and YouTubers.
Essence All About Matt Fixing Compact Powder
My friends love their powders especially this one. It’s nice for everyday kikay kit since it’s compact and retouching won’t be a hassle. Let’s see how it’ll work in my oily t-zone!
Essence Light Up Your Face Luminizer Palette
These 3 shades of luminizing powders in one palette is interesting plus my friend Raych told me this is not normally available in Essence counters so might as well take advantage of the chance.
Essence Pure Nude Highlighter
Loved it after swatching the tester! Another recommendation from Raych. She said this is being raved by one of the top Youtubers and I can see why.
Flormar – Made in Turkey
I have a friend who had a few vacations in Turkey and took home a blush for me as her “pasalubong”. It’s a mosaic blush and I loved it! I heard their foundations are so good too and comparable to Kat Von D so as you can see, the first shelf where their foundations were was already empty! Wow! So happy I got to score a few, just crossing fingers the foundation shades I got will suit me.
Flormar Mat Touch Foundation with Vitamin E
Here in the Philippines, oiliness is next to ugliness and everyone is going for matte finish foundation. The salesperson said this one looks natural when worn and already has vitamin E to nourish the skin.
Flormar Perfect Cover Foundation
If you need more coverage, then this foundation is for you. I got this so I can compare it with the latter foundation that I got. They are both Soft Beige but you can see in the bottle that this one is lighter.
Flormar Powder Compact in Natural
This is their regular powder that can be used to set the foundation. I would love to get their loose powder one but unfortunately, all their stocks were sold out fast!
Jordana – Made in the USA
It was my first time to see and discover Jordana in a Dollar Store in ATC. I became so curious since it’s new to my eyes and their products are super affordable. Then it started to hit the market and sold in beauty sections in malls. I love their nail polishes and lip pencils!
Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color P399.00
When I asked you guys what can you recommend from Jordana, you are all screaming for their liquid lip color and I was convinced! I got this shade since I already have a lot of nudes and reds at home.
Jordana Pore Refining Face Primer P699.00
The told me this is one of their best sellers! Being my main skin problem is visible pores, I’d love to give this a shot if it’ll work miracles with my pores.
Jordana Liquid Eyeshdow in 05 Dusk till bronze P599.00
I’m so lazy with eyeshadows for everyday look. Most of the time, I only use my contouring powder as eyeshadow. It’s nice to have this liquid eyeshadow so I have an excuse to only using one color on my eyes! It also promises to last for 16 hours, how cool is that? I’ll test it out with and without eyeshadow primer.
Il Salone Milano
I can’t believe their hair coloring products are for only P299.00 per box because they look and sound sophisticated. There were only few colors available when I visited their booth so I got Dark Blonde and Chocolate Brown. I also got a freebie! A set of shampoo, conditioner, and hair mask, only exclusive during the event.
Joe of London
The perfume booth was my last stop and again, there were only very few scents available. I got Joe of London Creme Noir – a musky scent for women and Blushing Flower – for girls who love floral scent. Each EDP bottle is sold for only P499.00 (100ml). For the body mist, I love the Romantic Collection in Good Mornings which reminds me of Amber Romance of VS.
Hello there Yuki of Stylecat having her makeover during the event!
I’m one happy shopper that day! How I wish all events are like this (kidding!)
Congratulations Liz and the whole Project Vanity team for another successful event!
