I have seen how Ellana Mineral Cosmetics grow through the years. Being a fan of their products since my college days, I’m so happy that this brand remains available in the market and keeps on improving. I’ve tried the Ellana Pressed Blush Duo 4 years ago and now they have pressed pigments! I love their loose multi-purpose powders. There are endless ways to use them (for eyeshadow, blush, contour, painting, and more!). I still have some of my favorite shades (old packaging, now they are in mini mirror jars) in my makeup collection.
Ellana Multi-purpose Pressed pigments come in 6 different shades (I have 5 atm). I like how you can easily see the colors in this kind of packaging. Look, they still have my favorite shade, Fulfillment! It’s great as a blush or you can even use it alone as your eyeshadow.
The sachet packaging is complete with all the information that you need at the back.
Since you can buy the pressed pigments in a per square pan basis, Ellana has Empty Magnetic Makeup Palette to store your them. It comes in two sizes, small (199 pesos) and medium (399 pesos). The new illustrations on the magnetic make-up palettes are so beautiful!
Just so I won’t forget shade name of the pressed pigment, I write it on a “post-it” note, on the other side of the sticky part, then put it at the bottom of the pan.
The small Ellana Magnetic Makeup Palette can store up to 4 pressed pigments while the medium magnetic palette can have 8 pans.
The shades above (left to right):
Fulfillment – Light Roast
Flirtation – Doll
Butter Rum (on the other palette)
Butter Rum -great as an eye shadow base or a highlighter.
Fulfillment – one of my favorite blush color! It’s peach coral color is perfect for everyday use.
Light Roast – use this shade for a subtle and natural-looking contour.
Flirtation – this shade it too pink for my skin color to use it as a blush. It will work an eyeshadow too!
Doll – a soft pink rose that can be for blush or eyeshadow.
Overall I still prefer loose pigments. There are more shades to choose from, better pigmentation, and easier to build the color. My only problem with loose powders is they can be messy. The pressed ones tho are great for travel and everyday use. You can retouch anytime without the fear of fall-outs. They are silky and long-lasting. I hope they’ll have more shades of pressed pigments soon! The magnetic palette is very useful too! Imagine you can carry 4 different shades in just one palette.
Ellana Mineral Multi-purpose pressed pigments are available for only 199 pesos per shade while the loose ones are 299 pesos per mini jar.
